Creating a case study

For my Audio Project 2 I will compiling information and research to build a case study on being an Audio designer for the game industry. Looking at:

•       How to become an audio designer; skill set, qualifications, ambitions etc,

•       The importance of an audio designer; why? How important is sound in a video game?

•       How sound works within a video game

•       Finally using my knowledge to produce a media artefact that resembles the importance of audio within a video game

At the end of my case study I will be able to present a well researched and informative blog – documenting ideas from people within the industry, tips and suggestions to take note of when editing and recording sound for a gaming project. As well as documenting how I am will be approaching my media artefacts and how I will be coping with difficulties throughout the process.

I will produce my media artefacts as two 5 minute long .mov files – using the original visuals from Bio-Shock Infinite and Rayman Legends (both released in 2013)
